My 2013 European Travels!!

What a wildly wonderful world, God! You made it all, with Wisdom at your side, made earth overflow with your wonderful creations” (Psalm 104:24).

Hello!

I am so excited for my summer travels, and am looking forward to bringing you all on the journey with me! I will post pictures and thoughts on this page as I begin my adventure. Right now I am getting together an itinerary and trying to figure out what I want to see, eat, and do overseas!  God has truly made a beautiful world, and my most sincere prayer is that one day you all will get to see the beauty and wonders of the world God created also.

I leave July 30th, and have a 32hour layover in Chicago… which means that I will definitely be eating Chicago style pizza!!! Yum! :) After a VERY long flight (12 hours total), I arrive in Barcelona, Spain!
Barcelona hosts Antoní Gaudí's architecture (see the pictures below).  This is a must see and I cannot wait to see it!

I am also looking forward to eating!!! Barcelona is well renowned for its tapas (which are small, savory Spanish dishes) and decadent chocolates!

I leave from Barcelona to Madrid on August 3rd.  In Madrid I am looking forward to seeing a flamenco dance!  If possible I’d like to also see a soccer (or football!) game :)

On the 7th of August I leave Madrid and head toward Rome, Italy! Which means I will be in Madrid on my Birthday (August 5th)!!!!! I am SO excited to spend my birthday in Madrid! :)

In Rome I want to see the Vatican, the Pantheon, and St. Peters Basilica!

After a couple days in Rome, I fly to Venice. Venice appears to be a beautiful city, full of canals!  I cannot wait to take a gondola ride through the city!

After a couple days in Venice, I fly to Athens.  In Athens I will be staying walking distance from the coliseum!  Remember our lesson on Athens 8th graders?

I will definitely keep you posted on my adventures in Athens, and then my trips to some of the Greek Islands!

There is definitely more to come!  I will keep you posted on my plans, and am looking forward to sharing the adventure with you!

Please keep me in your prayers that God protect and guide me as I travel.
