Monday, June 9th is Our Upper-grade Fun Day at

Raging Waters!!!!!

Please arrive at the school at 8:30am.  We will be leaving the school at 9:00am, and should return by 4pm. Students were given a clothing guide and list of items to bring. The list is as follows:

• Boys: Wear swim trunks and a shirt is optional to keep on all day. Must bring flip flops or water shoes.

• Girls: Option 1: One-piece swimsuit and swim shorts.  Option 2: Two-piece swimsuit with shorts and a tank top over.  Option 3: Tankini with swim shorts or boy-short style bottoms.  Must bring flip flops or water shoes.

• What to bring: $10 for lunch, water bottle (or buy one there), sunscreen, a towel, dry clothes to change into, a plastic bag.  Food is not allowed into the park.

Scientists discover Earth-like Planet!

Hello Students!

I hope you are enjoying your Easter Break thus far- Happy Good Friday! While reading USA Today with my morning coffee I came across the following article/video.  Scientists using the Kepler Telescope (you all should remember Kepler from our Science discussions!!! :)  ), have discovered a planet similar to Earth- 

way cool!  

Remember that God has made space vast, beautiful and mysterious, and a discovery such as this in NO WAY removes Him or diminishes His glory. It only highlights what an AMAZING, STAR BREATHING, AWESOME GOD who LOVES US and SENT HIS SON as a SACRIFICE for US, we have!

Thurday, February 20th the 8th Grade Class will be seeing "Jackie Robinson" at the Lifehouse Theatre.

The cost is $12.

We will be meeting at DRCS at 8:30am and returning at 1pm.

Attention Parents!!!!

Hello Parents,

Please be sure that your student has the necessary materials to function in class.  Too many students in the class have been running out of paper and pencils, and too many students do not have a white board nor a calculator (preferably a Scientific calculator- which they will most certainly need for the 9th grade).  It is the responsibility of the parent/student to have the necessary materials.

If your student does not have the above materials, please make sure that you purchase them ASAP.

We are in need of volunteers for the Book Fair.  8th Grade has been assigned Thursday January 30th so we need parents to sign up to help on those days.  The Book Fair is from 11:20 - 5:30.  Please call, email or text if you are able to volunteer.
